Job Title: Registered Nurse - Oncology Chemo Certified
\nLocation (Onsite, Remote, or Hybrid?): Columbus, OH (ONSITE)
\nContract Duration: 16 weeks
\nWorking Hours: Day 3x12-Hour (07:00 - 19:30) | 0Night 3x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:30)
\nTotal Weekly Hours: 36\n\n \n\n \n\nWINTER JOB
\nCan do 13 wks, or up to 1/24 end date.
\nManager preference is to end 1/10, 1/17 or 1/24 to assist with holiday coverage. Will prioritize these candidates.
\nRTO policy: Typically can approve max of 1 of 3 major holidays off. 7 day max total RTO. No RTO within first 2wks of start.

\n15E - Acute Leukemia and Hematology - 12 Hour D/N Rotating or Nights - CHEMO CERTIFICATION REQUIRED!!!
\n
\nIf you accept a 12D/N rotating contract, you may be scheduled for days, nights, or a combination of both, depending on the department’s needs. Shift assignments are reviewed every 4-week scheduling period, but changes are not guaranteed and are based on staffing priorities at that time.

\nFirst Time travelers: NO
\nExperience: Minimum 2 years of nursing experience required
\nPatient Age Group: Adults, Geriatrics
\nPatient Diagnoses: Primarily care for newly diagnosed acute leukemia patients
\nStaffing Ratios: Goal is 1:4, but can be 1:5
\nWeekends: Variable based on unit needs
\nSchedule: No set/blocked scheduling. Self-schedule requests accepted to accommodate preferred schedules before finalizing.
\nOrientation: First week: Mon-Fri dayshift. Second week: 36 hours of on-unit orientation with a preceptor.

\nSpecial Focus:
\n• Heavy focus on infection prevention protocols
\n• Patient falls prevention
\n
\nCertifications Required:
\n• BLS
\n• ACLS
\n•ONS Chemo Cert
\n
\nCertifications Preferred:
\n• NIHSS
\n
\nSkills Required:
\n• MS/Tele
\n• Telemetry
\n• Interpretation of dysrhythmias
\n• Telemetry monitoring
\n• Use of Rapid Response Teams
\n• Feeding tube care and management
\n• IV therapy/Phlebotomy
\n• Blood Product Administration
\n• Central line blood draw
\n• Peripheral Line Care/Management
\n• PICC line management
\n• Starting IVs
