Role Overview

As Pit Viper’s Social Media Marketing Manager, you will be the architect and driver of our organic social presence. This role is equal parts strategist, creator, and cultural operator. You will own the social vision, collaborate with a dynamic team, and execute with precision to position Pit Viper as the most disruptive and culturally resonant eyewear and lifestyle brands on the planet.

Your work will push us past category norms, setting industry standards and shaping consumer perception across TikTok, Meta, and beyond. You’ll have the freedom to build, experiment, and adapt strategies in real time while keeping the brand’s irreverent DNA front and center. This is not a “post and hope” role. It’s about building a social engine that fuels relevance, growth, and lasting cultural impact.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership & Vision

• Own and evolve Pit Viper’s organic social strategy for TikTok, Instagram, X, YouTube, and Facebook, with an eye on emerging platforms like Reddit.
• Translate brand values into a distinct, recognizable, and scalable social voice and visual identity.
• Balance big-picture storytelling with daily adaptability to ride trends, leverage memes, and hijack cultural moments in Pit Viper’s unique way.
• Partner with the VP of Marketing and cross-functional leaders to ensure social is a top-of-funnel growth driver and cultural amplifier.
• Continually identify new cultural arenas, features, and under-leveraged platforms that align with our audience and persona strategies.
• Build a long-term social roadmap rooted in Pit Viper’s brand foundation, but flexible enough to adapt to real-time culture.
• Provide clear direction while creating space for creativity and experimentation.
• Develop content creation and platform management skills within the team to keep Pit Viper scrappy, fast-moving, and culturally in tune.
• Manage the social media budget with intention, supporting paid amplification, contests, and experimental content bets.

Content & Community

• Lead content ideation, development, and execution—from campaign-level storytelling to reactive, always-on posting.
• Set creative standards and guidelines that ensure every post reflects Pit Viper’s humor, irreverence, and cultural relevance.
• Integrate user-generated content, athlete/ambassador highlights, and influencer collaborations into an always-fresh content mix.
• Own community management strategy, creating interactions and growing a loyal advocate base.
• Develop shot lists and social campaign playbooks for product launches, collaborations, and tentpole cultural moments.

Influencer Marketing & Partnerships

• Design and execute influencer campaigns that ladder up to brand and product priorities.
• Build authentic, long-term relationships with creators and athletes who naturally amplify Pit Viper’s energy.
• Oversee ambassadors and third-party creators, ensuring deliverables meet brand standards and drive measurable results.
• Partner with Brand Partnerships and Sports Marketing to ensure consistent messaging and creative alignment.
• Negotiate contracts, manage budgets, and track ROI of influencer campaigns.

Performance & Analytics

• Define and track KPIs (reach, engagement, follower growth, share of voice, conversion, where applicable).
• Deliver monthly performance reports and quarterly deep dives with insights, learnings, and recommendations.
• Leverage social listening tools and analytics platforms to inform strategy, spot trends, and strengthen brand positioning.
• Constantly test and refine approaches, balancing instinctive creativity with data-driven decision making.

• Proven track record leading high-performing social media for lifestyle, fashion, or youth-culture-driven brands.
• Expert-level understanding of TikTok, Instagram, X, YouTube, and Facebook, with a pulse on emerging platforms.
• Strong creative instincts with the ability to translate brand values into viral, shareable, and visually distinct content.
• Experience building influencer and creator programs that drive both awareness and engagement.
• Data-driven operator who knows how to measure success, learn quickly, and pivot strategies.
• Natural leader who thrives in fast-paced environments, building teams that move quickly without sacrificing quality.
• Passion for action sports, youth culture, and irreverent brand building.
• Ability to embody Pit Viper’s brand voice with confidence, humor, and authenticity.
