As a Security Officer Industrial Patrol in Troy, NY , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more.

As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal at a leading manufacturing and industrial location, you will play a key role in maintaining a secure environment by monitoring and controlling entry points. Your responsibilities will include conducting regular patrols throughout the facility, remaining highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and providing exceptional customer service to all employees and visitors. You will be relied upon to communicate clearly and act with integrity as you respond to inquiries and support daily operations. What You’ll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Control access to the location by verifying identification and/or credentials of employees, visitors, and contractors, following site-specific procedures.
• Monitor entry and exit points to help to deter unauthorized access and report any suspicious activity to Allied Universal management and/or client representatives.
• Provide customer service by assisting personnel and visitors with directions, information, and security-related inquiries as needed.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols for the location.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and its perimeter to help to deter security-related risks and observe for any irregularities.
• Document observations, incidents, and activities in daily reports and logs as required by Allied Universal and/or client policies.
• Follow all site-specific policies and procedures related to access control and security-related operations at the manufacturing and industrial location.
• Participate in emergency response activities as directed by Allied Universal management and/or client representatives.

Minimum Requirements:

• Must have at least 6 months of security-related experience.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
