Investment Banking Associate – Industrials M&A, Chicago

Pearse Partners is working with a leading mid-market investment bank seeking to expand its Industrials M&A team in Chicago. The hire comes in response to strong deal flow and a growing client base across core industrials sub-sectors, including manufacturing, building products, transportation, and business services.

Key responsibilities:

• Support execution of M&A transactions across the Industrials sector, working closely with senior bankers throughout the full deal lifecycle.
• Take ownership of deliverables including financial models, pitch materials, and client presentations.
• Lead work streams on due diligence, valuation, and transaction execution.
• Partner with senior team members to manage client relationships and contribute to origination efforts.

Ideal background:

• 3+ years of experience in investment banking, or relevant experience within a Big 4 M&A/transaction services team.
• Strong transactional exposure within Industrials or adjacent sectors, with a genuine interest in the space.
• Excellent technical skills, including financial modelling and valuation.
• Ability to thrive in a lean, high-performing environment with direct client exposure.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
